As Consultants to First Nations and Industry
Our Industry and First Nations clients come to us because they need someone who speaks the languages of First Nations and Industry and can act as a bridge between the two at early stages in relationship-development. This role is necessary for a number of reasons and is not always related to projects. However, in almost every situation, the role is required because one needs the other but is unsure how to make the connection.
With First Nations
Our First Nations clients typically come to us because they want to change their relationship with Industry and to ensure their communities benefit from any current or future projects in their area. BCT Projects works with First Nations leaders to identify opportunities and build relationships. In some situations, we may bring an opportunity to a community that gives them the ability to work directly with industry and actually self-perform the work. Ultimately, our goal is to allow the community to maximize opportunities and ensure communities are being treated fairly.
We work with our Industry clients to determine the current capacity of local First Nations communities in regions where they have projects and want to engage Aboriginal communities and businesses to do the work. In determining the current capacity of the related First Nations community, BCT Projects can assist our industry partner in securing project work while benefitting fully from the strength of the First Nation community involved.
At BCT Projects, we believe and can demonstrate that there is a way for First Nations and Industry to work, grow and prosper together. Understanding and respecting each other is the key to such success.
